Alleghany County Public Schools has conformed to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA.

W3C WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0

Following these guidelines will make the ACPS web content accessible to a wider range of people with disabilities and more usable to users in general.

                           FIELD DAY

Clifton Middle School is having their end-of-year Field Day on Wednesday, May 22.

Remind your child to bring the following with him/her on Field Day:

Change of Clothes and Shoes (in case student gets wet or dirty)
PLENTY of sunscreen
Bottled Water

Make sure they wear old clothes and shoes. Students participating in the Color Run will get dirty!

The PTO is generously providing lunch for all students and staff. If you would be willing to donate items to help out the PTO, please see below (broken up by grade levels):

6th Grade - Bag of chips (any kind)
7th Grade - Cookies/Brownies
8th Grade - Canned Drinks or Bottled Water

Items can be dropped off at the CMS Office anytime before May 22, or send them with your student to school!

Summer Food Service Program

Meals will be provided to all children age 18 & under without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals will be provided, on a first come, first serve basis, at the following locations MONDAY - THURSDAY:

Alleghany High School
5/28 - 7/25 Lunch 11:00AM - 12:00 Noon

Clifton Forge Fire Department
6/17 - 7/25 Lunch 11:00AM - 12:00 Noon

Mountain View Elementary School
5/28 - 7/25 Breakfast 8:00AM - 9:00AM
Lunch  11:00AM - 12:00

Covington City Schools open site:
Covington High School
6/3 - 7/25 Lunch 11:15AM - 12:15PM

*All sites will be closed July 4th
